We are looking for a motivated individual who can work well in a team to join our Port Klang, Malaysia office. This Operations Executive role is focused on Container Control, as well as Management and Repair – tasks include but are not limited to the management and upkeep of inventory, the coordination of movement of empty containers, as well as administrative processes related to container movement and transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Track daily inventory stock level against projection forecast and ensure sufficient stock is available to meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments to assign import returns for empty container drop-off and assign export release for empty container pick-up.
- Coordinate empty container trucking for local import within free period, and export turn in to port container yard within cut off time.
- Monitor booking creation for export laden in port system using COPARN EDI.
- Monitor EDI & EMS accuracy update for local laden and empty containers.
- Monitor long aging containers for local import and empty stock at depot to ensure FIFO release.
- Handle third-party claims regarding container maintenance and repair within the agreed timeline.
- Handle customs formalities for import and export empty containers.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints relating to container quality.
- Verify invoices related to container logistics and maintenance & repair.
- Any other relevant tasks or duties as assigned by HOD.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Diploma or higher educational attainment in Logistics and Transportation or related fields.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role focused on container control and maintenance & repair is preferred.
- Passion for problem-solving.
- Ability to drive change with confidence.
- Analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
